    The law that declared the banning of all alcohol consumption in the United States. Many illegal breweries were to be found over the years to follow.
  • 19th Amendment

    The law stating that women have a right to vote. The law was co-written by Susan B. Anthony.
  • KDKA Radio

    The world's first commercial radio station. It's still an up to date radio station today.
  • Emergency Quota Act

    A supposed temporary restriction on immigration. Limits were set on immigrants coming in from certain countries, and the Act was repealed in later years
  • The Boll Weevil Infestation.

    This menace of a bug came down and ruined 85% of the South's crop for the year. This set back many farmers.
  • National Origins Act

    This act repealed the Emergency Quota Act three years before. The Act worked better and more efficiently than the one before it for another forty years.
  • Stock Market Rise

    The Stock Market began rising out of a recession for a time, but did little to affect the country.
  • Scopes trial

    A high school teacher would went against a law stating it's illegal to teach evolution in a classroom. Scopes was found guilty and fined $100.
  • KKK March

    The Klu Klux Klan paraded down Washington D.C's streets. 35,000 men, women, and children marched down the streets that day.
  • The Weary Blues

    Written by Langston Hughes, a great poet of the time. About a Harlem piano player playing the blues.
  • Lindenbergh Flies over Atlantic

    Charles Lindenbergh becomes the first person to fly over the Atlantic Ocean nonstop. He flew from New York City to Paris
  • Sacco and Venzetti Accused

    The two men were accused of an armed shoe robbery. The two men were executed after a long trial in court.
  • Herbert Hoover Elected President

    Herbert Hoover was elected as the 31st president of the United States. He held the presidency for two terms as a Republican.
