    War fought between Britain and French and the Indians of North America. Most of the battles took place Canada. This battle lasted from 1754 to 176. George Washington along with many other American colonists fought in this war. Even so, the British won the war along with the right to keep Canada along with some other spoils of the new world.

    An act that put a three cent tariff on all refined foreign sugars, indigo, and cetain kinds of wines. These taxes are what began to make colonists want to be more vocal about the way they were taxed.

    A tax made on the British seal which every public legal documant had to have. This actually enraged the colonists enough to form political parties against it. This was the first sign of resistance from American colonists.

    The second continental congress met under the flag of evolution to organiz the continental army naming George Washinton the commander-and-cheif. The congress continued through the summer out of their discussions came the declaration of independence, the articles of confederation, and the Marine Corps.

    A two day battle between American and British forces. The American forces had occupied Breed's Hil in order to protect the shipyard of nearby Boston harbor from the British. The British took the hill but sustained heavy losses. Even though the battle was fought on Breed's Hill it was know as the battle of Bunker Hill.

    Richard Henry Lee committed an "act of treason" by proposing independence from the British empire, John Adams seconded his proposal. It would be a month before the declaration would be signed.
