  • Derek

    It has been a year and everything has settled down for Brian after his whirlwind year. Then Derek shows up asking him to relive his experience for the sake of research...he decides to do it.
  • Back into the woods

    Two weeks after meeting Derek Halter, Brian is in a plane heading to the wilderness to relive his survival ordeal so that the military can train better. He and Derek land and despite Derek's plea they bring nothing but a radio for emergencies. Brian says that it will not be real if they bring supplies for "just in case"

    A bad lightning storm hit a tree and the tree crashed down on Derek. Brian thought he was dead but he is knocked out and his neck is flimsy.
  • The Coma

    Brian realized that Derek is not knocked out but in a coma. He must now find a way to feed him and get water in him.
  • The River

    Brian found a map of their location when he was trying to figure out how to help Derek. On the map he saw the river and on the river just under a hundred miles away was Brandon's Tradepost. He makes the decision to take Derek there because he won't survive without water.
  • The Raft

    Brian builds a raft with the leftover logs left by beavers and drags Derek down to the raft and they take off towards the TradePost
  • The Wreck

    The raft began to go really fast and then it hit a boulder and then Brian was off the raft and hit his head. When he woke up the raft and Derek were gone. Brian gets in the river and starts swimming trying to find the raft. He finally found it and Derek was still alive. He got on the raft and they continued on for another day. Brian was groggy and out of it when he heard the dog barking. When he opened his eyes he saw a boy.
  • The Trading Post

    Brian and Derek were on the river for 63 hours and traveled 119 miles. They made it to the Trading post
  • The Gift

    About seven months after the ordeal, Brain gets a kevlar canoe delivered to his house. The canoe has "The RAFT" on the side. The note says "Next time it won't be so hard to paddle" and is from Derek Holberg.
