Al-Qeada was founded by Osama Bin Ladan and other Arab volunteers. They formed to fight the Soviet Union and were allies with the Taliban. They operated a network of extremists.

Al-Qaeda targeted a hotel they believed US troops were staying in. the troops did in fact stay in that hotel however they left before the attack because they were on a humanitarian mission. The Al-Qaeda operatives were stopped in an airport in Yemen.

A car bomb went off below the north tower. 1336 pounds of urea nitrate hydrogen enhanced the bomb. It only killed 6, however it injured over 1,000. In march 1994 the terrorists were convicted. Then in 1997 two more were convicted.

The Taliban pledged their loyalty to Al-Qaeda in 1996. This meant working together against the US. After 9/11 the Taliban provided protection for Al-Qaeda.

In August of 1998 200 people were killed by truck bombings in two east African cities. The attacks were almost simultaneous. Members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad.

Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011. United States Navy Seals raided his guest house compound. Despite this there were no photographs to verify this or DNA.
