These were a series of acts that punished certain colonies for not cooperating in the recent acts. This was important because that just made the colonies rebel even more and it was fuel for the war. -
Boston Masacre
The British had been staying at Boston to protect the harbor shipments and a bunch of other people came. The British felt threatened, do they shot without orders and killed and wounded a lot of people. This is also feul for the Revolutionary War. -
John Adams
John was the second president in the United states and he played a huge role in persuading the Patriots to become independent. -

This man was a writter and he inspired a lot of patriots to declare independence! -
The Boston teaparty
The colonists dressed up as indians and threw tea over board the harbor, ruining the tea so that they didn't have to pay the taxes. This caused an uproar for the British which helped to start American Revolution. -

The quartering act required everyone to accomodate the British soldiers, even if they didn't like the soldiers so therefore, it could have created war. -
Intolerable Acts
These were acts that the patriots named and they were acts that stripped massachusets of government and rights, and the other colonies also. This is very important because it caused uproars all over the place in the colonies, and helped to start the war. -
Continental Congress
These were meetings when a representetive from each of the 13 colonies would come and they would have debates on what to do about the intolerable acts. This was important because they were the first meetings that the colonies had had and they could communicate with each other which helped them in the war. -
Lexington and Concord
This was the first battle of the Revolutionary war and that is why its important! -
Loyalists
These were people who served for Great Brittain, and they killed off a ton of colonists during the war. -
Declaration Of Independence
This is important because that is when the thirteen original colonies declared themselves independent and not under the British Empire as they were before. -
Patriots
The Patriots were the people against Britian and they won independence on july 4th. -
The Battles of Saratoga
These were considered turning points in the war and it declared that the war was basically over and that the colonists had won. This was basically the end of the War! -
Battle of Yorktown
This was the ending battle of the Revolutionary war, because the americans won and it caused the British to negotiate their problems.
