    The Treaty of Paris was signed after the Seven Years' War (The French and Indian War). It was between Great Britain, France, and Spain. Britain, France, and Spain all stole land form each other and with this treaty it was all given back to its original owners

    The Proclamation of 1763 was issued after the French and Indian War. It forbid settlers from settling past the Appalachian Mountains. The purpose of the proclamation was to stabilize Britians relationship with Native Americans

    The Sugar Act was an acct that taxed sugar indirectly. Parilament passed this act because they needed money to pay for the damage caused in the Seven Years War. The colonists boycotted the Sugar Act and it got repealed in 1766

    The Stamp Act was a direct tax on the colonies. The Stamp Act required that all printed materials be on offical, stamped paper that was produced by Great Britian. The colonies, once again, boycotted and the act gott repealed in 1766

    The Quartering Act required colonists to house and feed troops. New York has the most troops staying their. The colonists boycotted the act and it later got repealed

    Boston Massacre
    In the Boston Massacre, British soldiers killed 5 civilian men and wounded 6 others. The men had been bothering and throwing things at the British soldiers and the soldiers fired in self-defense. This resulted in a 2 month trial. John Adams helped the British win the case.

    The Boston Tea Party was in response to the Tea Act. The Sons of Liberty went on ships, digusied as Native Americans, and dumped hundreds chests of tea. This happened at the Boston Harbor hence the name, Boston Tea Party

    The Intolerable Acts were a series of laws placed on the colonies after the Boston Tea Party. The acts closed the Boston port, took away Massachusetts of self-government, placed more british soldiers, and allowed move trials accused to royal officals, to Britian.

    The First Continental Congress met at Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. Delegates from 12 colonies (Georgia was not present) met to discuss the Intolerable Acts. In the end, they decided to send the Olive Branch Petition, which was unsucessful.
