    The Sugar Act took place on 4/5/1764 It was a tax that made a three-cent tax on sugar and coffee and many different types of wine. The act also refused rum and French wines. Although this tax was not included for everyone it took a big hit on the merchants. The British continued to raise the taxes without the colonists approval. The Colonists were furious for the first time they wanted to have their voices heard in the new taxes. The Sugar Act helped lead to the decision to fight Great Britain

    he Stamp Act was instituted by Great Britain in November, 1765 it would be the first tax on the American people. This tax was for newspaper, pamphlets, and also legal documents to have a stamp on it or a British seal. The Colonists did not like the idea of having to pay for something that has been free all of their lives. Great Britain changed this act but with doing so they made another act called the Declaratory Act this act said that Britain had power over all American colonists.
