    On the way home
    After finished movie, Pony wanted a ride. However, he was nailed by Socs, and was bullied by this gang at the area near his house. Immediately, Pony's brothers and friends came to help him.
    This kind of begining showed us the conflict between Greasers & Socs, and led us into the story background, which is about two gangs in a town, straightforwardly.
  • Movie affair

    Movie affair
    Pony, Johnny, and Dally went to the movie together. During the movie, they knew Cherry, and Dally plied with her, which led Cherry to be rageous. As a consequence, Dally felt affronted, and wanted to drain it off. However, Johnny stopped him, which caused Dally's leaving. Finally, Pony and Cherry became friends.
    This event pointed out a very important person in the story, Cherry, because she made two gangs more complicated, which meant what would happan next, in some reasons, because of her.
  • Hostile encounter

    Bob, the boyfriend of Cherry, with a gang came to greasers angrily after movie on the way home. Because of Cherry, they avoided fighting.
    Due to Cherry with greasers, Bob became very angry, which foreshadowed he would trouble these people who were trying to get his girl.

    Johnny was evicted by his father, so he had to stay overnight outside. Pony decided to keep him company, but fell asleep in the end.
    This part foreshadowed Pony would be late for going back home, which led him to leave away from home.

    At about 2:00 am, Darry pushed Pony outrageously for he went back home too late, which led Pony to run away from home, and stay away from his brother.
    The relationship between two brothers became worse, even disruptive, even irreparable. Something bad might happen next.

    Pony woke Johnny up, and went to the park together. At the same time, a gang of Socs nailed these two poor greasers, and was ready to trouble them.
    An unavoided fight would begin, although the probability of beating Socs up is very little.

    In the daytime, they got there, and found such church that Dally said so. They settled down and put up for the night.

    Because Pony was drowning by Socs, Johnny didn't know how to help him alone. In this extrem chaos case, Johnny chose to sharpen his blade. When Pony woke up, Bob had been killed by Johnny.
    There was a stripe pound them up, which meant that they would stay together a lot in the future, because of this event.

    Both of them were scared by this bombshell, hence they were going to ask the person they thought helpful and reliable, Dally, for how they should do next step. Dally told them that they could take a cargo train for free to Jay mountian, and there should be an abandoned church to shelter them until all of this faded away from the public focus.
    It told us that Pony and Johnny would leave for another place, which meant it would be a brand-new part of the story.

    Johnny went down the mountain and got some commodities for these days. He bought cards, ham sausage, cigarette, bleach, and the book, GONE WITH THE WIND, in order to get over these hardship days.
    The most important commodity is the book, because it is a clue for Johnny who would learn something meaningful in the life.
  • Changing identity

    Johnny cut and bleached Pony's hair in order to avoid the police recognization, although Pony was reluctant to do so.
    This detail told us Pony cared his haircut very much, which was the symbol of Greasers, and he was pround of that his brother owns this kind of hair, which meant that Pony, indeed, loved all his brothers and desired to get along well with them.
  • Stay gold

    The boys saw the sun set, and they felt impressive. They wonder if such gold time can exist forever. At the same time, Pony said the poem, NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY, out, which made Johnny touched. However, none of them understanded the deep or precise meaning of this poem at that time.
    This part is extremly significant, because Johnny was enlightened by something ambiguous. He realized something, though he could not tell, in the life.
  • Acquaintance reunion

    Dally came here for looking about them and was trying to take them out. He told the boys what was going on at the time they disappeared and gave Pony a letter from his brother in the church.
    In this part, the letter wrote by Pony's brother is important, because Pony knew what his brother's real thought, which suits him fine.
  • Fire rescue

    On the way going back home, they found that the church was on fire! What shocked them was that there were a lot of kids there, who might be in danger. Pony and Johnny made a great decision, which is to save those children from the sea of fire. Unfortunatly, Johnny and Dally got injured during saving the children. They were sent to the hospital immediately, while the ambulance had came.
    The serious injury indicated that the reason made Johnny die soon, and foreshadowed the turning of the plot.

    Brothers reunion in hospital
    When Pony was in hosptial, Soda and Darry came to the hosptial to saw Pony, Johnny and Dally. Soda and Darry were very happy to saw Pony again. They did not want to anyone.
    This part Pony had a reunion with his brother. Now, Pony knew that Darry was very love him and nothing can replaced the family.

    Randy chatted with Pony. He told Pony that Bob was not a bad guy which they thought. In addition, he told Pony that he did not joined this fight.
    This part Randy want Pony knew that not all wrong because of Bob. However, he did not want Pony joined this fight because whether they fight, Bob could not live again

    Cherry's recommendation
    Before thay fighted, Cherry told Pony that they could not use weapon in this fight and Bob was not a bad guy as thry thought. She did not want Pony joined this fight.
    This part Cherry just like Randy, they all feel sad that Bob dead, but they did not want Pony joined the fight because it could not changed the event that Bob dead.

    The new that Pony, Johnny and Dally saved child in church was on the newspaper. Everyone who lived in this town knew that manslayers became hero.
    This part Pony, Johnny and Dally became famous because they saved child, but Johnny injuries were severe. It foreshadow why Dally siad Johnny's injurie swap many insignificant paper.
  • Peak showdown

    They were fighting in the park. When they began, Dally came to the park to joined the fight. At the end of this fight, they won. Pony and Dally went to hospital by car to told Johnny that they won this fight.
    This part jreasers won the fightand they were very happy. However, just like Randy and Cherry said that. They won the fight, but they could not change anything.

    Separation between loved one in life or death
    When Pony and Dally arrived the hosptial, Johnny was going to die. They told Johnny that they won the fight and the event that they saved child in the church was on newspaper. However, Johnny told Dally that fighting's not good and told Pony stay gold. After he said, he dead.
    This part Johnny dead. The word that Johnny told Pony was very important in this story. Due to Johnny death, it presage Dally would dead (Johnny was Dally best friend, and he could not believe that Johnny dead ).

    Dally could not accept the fact that Johnny as a hero still died in the end. He felt hopeless and did not believe that there existed anything fine anymore, because of this strike. He broke the law on purpose, and were willing to die by means of police's shooting.
    Another important charicter died as well, also the buddy of Pony. These two persons' death made Pony more grieved and impressive. He must feel a lot from a series of these facts.

    Pony spontaneously suffered this event, which meant he would be taken to the court to judge if he commit a crime. With Cherry and Randy's statement od the truth, Pony was acquited! There should be a full stop for this tangly affair.
    It, indeed, is a satisfacory ending of such series of the story. Although Pony had lost two buddies, life still goes on.
  • Final Project

    After going back to school, the professor gave him the requirement of final project, which is to tell a story in oneself experience, which is too easy for Pony due to recently undergoing.
    That is why this story was left words. This kind of ending coordinates the begining, and made all of those things so real and make sense.
