He wrote two famous books that were influential. An essay concerning human understanding was about his theory of ideas. It also gave some reasons for the origins of human knowledge in experience. Two treatises of government were about him defending a theory of political authority based on individual rights, freedoms or privileges, and the consent of the governed. -
He authored the Leviathan. That if they have any problems they can basically go crying to the government. In other words, they could not take matters into their own hands or handle things themselves. The founding fathers agreed with the social compact. This was heavily embraced by the Founding Fathers and Locke. They also like hobbes’ idea of “state of nature”. What he is saying is that without a government there would be anarchy. -
He wrote "Lettres persanes" or Persian letters. His view of the roles of the executive, legislative, and judicial powers was that the legislative branch makes the laws. The executive branch executes the laws. The judicial branch judges and reviews the laws. It is reflected in the US government because it is how government branches are today. -

His vision was that farmers could get land at a decent price. America could be a republic of equal independent citizens. Thomas Jefferson also contradicted his own vision as the third president by owning slaves. Although he tried to end slavery many times, he never even ended up freeing any of his slaves. a federalist government system is when the government is controlled by two levels, one of those levels is the national government, and the other level is the state government.
James Madison helped author “The Federalist”. Something James Madison had to say about factions was that their greatest threat was to society’s long-term interests. The Declaration of Independence is split into five sections. They were the introduction, the preamble, the body(divided into two sections), and the conclusion. The Declaration of Independence was trying to say that the colonies of the United States were to be free and independent. Their main weakness was that the state governments were anxious to stay in power, because congress commanded a small portion of respect and support from them. Congress also could not raise funds, regulate trade, or conduct foreign policy without all of the states saying yes. The three bodies that were added in the constitution were the executive, legislative, and judicial. Enumerated powers were given to them too. https://www.sciencephoto.com/media/1194202/view/articles-of-confederation-1777 -
The purpose of the preamble was to define the United States government. I think the most important part is the part to form a perfect union and establish justice. The part where it says to secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves is important too. 8 sections have been removed throughout the articles of the constitution since it was ratified. https://billofrightsinstitute.org/primary-sources/constitution -
"Congress can’t tell its citizens to follow a specific religion, nor can they restrict free speech or the people's rights in general. The part of the First Amendment that is most important to me is the part where Congress can’t force everyone to follow one specific religion. It is important because everyone should be able to follow whatever they believe. No one should be forced to do anything that doesn’t define them. https://www.scclp.org/bor_day_2022
