    Colobumus Lands in America

    Colobums lands in the Bahamas, not America, but is still givin the credit for discovering it
  • Roanoke Colony

    Settlers arrive at Roanoke Colony, later when left to live off the land, the ships return to find no one, it was later called the "lost colony"
  • Jamestown

    First real settlement by England. Settlers had problems with the enviorment and local Indians. The first settlers made friends with the Indians and if the didn't, they would have died because of there innability to grow food.
  • Mayflower Compact

    Signed by the settlers of Plymouth, the Mayflower Compact was a document that allowed religious freedom and equality in the settlement.
  • John Winthrop ("City Upon a Hill")

    A settler of the Massachuetts Bay Colony and gave the speech a "City Upon a Hill" the signify the greatness that will come from the settlement and how God will determine who stays inside the community.

    Pequot War

    A war between the Pequot Indians and the settlers of nearby colonies. Started because of attacks on each other. Ended with the Pequots losing over 700 and some getting sold into slavery.
  • Anne Hutchinson banished from Mass Bay Colonoy

    Brought to trial for her questioning of the Puritan religion and banished from the colony
  • Bacon's Rebellion

    A rebellion led by Nathiniel Bacon, who was fed up with William Berkely, a aristocratic governer that didn't care for the needs of the people. Bacon rallied up fighters and they attacked the Indians that Berkely refused to fight. They burned down Jamestown to show their power.

    A happening that started by the lies of teenage girls after commiting a withc like cermony. The scare of witches shocked the community and sent them into killing innocent people or declaring witchcraft with little to no information

    A founding father of the United States, served in office and was an esteemed scientists with his work regarding electricity.
  • Jonathan Edwards ("Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God")

    Edwards delievered a sermon that scared Puritans into belief after the threat of more freedom in religion arouse. Showed God hating anyone who wasn't a true Puritan

    French and Indian War

    The British v.s the French (With aid from Indians). Due to the French being outnumbered, they armed Indians to help them. It began over a land dispute. Obviously France lost because they never win anything and retreated.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    The King didn't allow the settlers to expand any further West from the 13 colonies. If they did, they woudln't be helped by the British solidiers and it was illegal.
  • Sugar Act

    The first act to get revenue from the colonies to pay for the French and Indian War. Molasses was taxed and the colonies were hating on Britian for this tax.
  • Stamp Act

    Another tax created by Parilment that taxed stamps that had t be put on ANY document of value, made colonist uproar because of how much control Britian was getting. They revolted and the Sons of Liberity were created.

    A act made to allow British solidiers to house themselves in American homes and be served and cared for by the homeowners.

    After the repeal of the stamp act, this was a tax put on general goods, including tea, which led to the boston tea party

    British solideirs open fired on a mob in boston because the mob was taunting them, was grealty exagarated
  • Boston Tea party

    Colonist, in response to the twonshed acts and other taxes, raided a english ship in the boston harbour, dressed as indians, they through all the tea of the ship into the bay

    America had finally won the war after the surrender at yorktown, where cornwallis was outnumbered

    A treaty to end the American Revolutinary War. Signed in Paris between France, Britian and newly founded America
