    Odysseus crafts a cunning plan, leaving the Trojans a wooden horse filled with Greeks as a gift. When brought into the city, the Greeks jumped out at night and opened the gates, surprising the unsuspecting Trojans and leading to the sacking of Troy.

  • Odysseus arrives at Ismarus

    Odysseus arrives at Ismarus
    Odysseusdecides to raid Ismarus and when he instructs his men to take the spoils and leave, they refuse giving the Natives time to regroup and attack. In the ensuing battle He withdraws after losing 72 men.
  • The Land of the Lotus Eaters

    The Land of the Lotus Eaters
    After 10 stormy days Odysseus and his men arrived at the land of the lotus eaters. All patrols sent out did not return because they encountered the locals who offered them the lotus plant. Upon eating the lotus, the men lost all interest in getting home and wanted to stay and eat lotus untill they died. Odysseus took the men and tied them up and set sail.
  • The Cyclops

    The Cyclops
    The men arrived on the island of the Cyclops and became trapped in his cave while exploring. The Cyclops ate 6 of Odysseus's men before he came up with a plan that blinded the Cyclops and left him with the name nobody so that when he told his friends they would think that nobody was hurting him and nothing was wrong.
  • Aiolos

    Aiolos
    They arrive at the Island of Aiolos, the keeper of wind. He listens to Odysseus's story and is impressed and gives him a sack of wind to aid his journey home with the explicit instructions not to open it at once.
  • The Lestergonians

    The Lestergonians
    They come to the island of Lestergonia where they are attacked by giants. The giants smash 11 of his ships and spear his men like fish.
  • Circe

    Circe
    They come to Circe's island and their scouting party of 20 men get turned into pigs. Hermes gives Odysseus a flower to make him immune to Circe's magic and he bocomes her lover for a year, after a year he decides to leave and she tells him to visit Tyresias in the underworld. One of the men falls off the roof and dies.
  • The Underworld

    The Underworld
    Odysseus goes to the underworld and fights off the dead rushing to drink the blood of his sacrifice. He sees his Tyresias as well as him mother, learning for the first time that she is dead. Tyresias tells Odysseus how to get past Scylla and Charibdis and the sierens.
  • Scylla and Charibdis

    Scylla and Charibdis
    They plug their ears to avoid the siren's song and sail to Scylla and Charibdis. Following Tyresias's advice Odysseus sails twards Scylla knowing he will lose 6 men. He avoids Charibdis and Scylla takes his men and they sail through.
  • Charibdis

    Charibdis
    Odysseus drifts back to Charibdis and survives by hanging on to a branch while his raft is spit out.
  • Helios's Cattle

    Helios's Cattle
    They sailed to Thrinaca and resisted the temptaton to eat Helios's cows as Tyresias had warned untill food grew too scarce and they ate several cows. Helios killed all of his men but could not touch Odysseus because Athena intervened.
  • Ogyia

    Ogyia
    He drifts to Ogyia, the island of Calypso, who chills with him for the next 7 years. When he wants to leave she gives him materials to make a raft.
  • The Phaiacians

    The Phaiacians
    Odysseus met a girl whos parents ruled the island and she told him how to win their favor. Upon following her instruction he competes and wins in various tests and impressed the king. He escorts odysseus back home to Ithica.
  • The Return to Ithica

    The Return to Ithica
    Athena turnes him into an old man so he will not be recognized. He wins the competition and answers the question of what is the bed post made of to prove he is Odysseus and he then proceeds to violently slaughter the suitors.
