The Most Dangerous Game

  • I'm on a boat

    I'm on a boat
    Rainsford and Whiteny are traveling to Rio, and are discussing the morals of hunting on Rainsford's boat. Whitney believes that all game share the feeling of fear, while Rainsford they feel nothing and that they are just wild animals. Whitney retires to bed while Rainsford contemplates more on the subject.
  • Oh sh-!

    Oh sh-!
    While still thinking on the matter of whether or not game creatures have feelings, Rainsford stumbles around the yacht. When he drops his smoking pipe, he accidentally falls off the side of the boat and into the water. Rainsford is stranded out in the water as the boat sails away...
  • Safety...?

    Safety...?
    Rainsford swims for a while until he finds an island, which he found by following the sound of a gunshot. Once he reaches the island, he looks for any form of life, and stumbles upon some blood stains on the ground. As he searches, he finds a large, intimidating castle and walks up to the front door. After he knocks, he is met by a large man aiming a gun at his chest.
  • New "Game"

    New "Game"
    Zaroff then goes on to tell Rainsford that in oreder to make hunting exciting again, he imported a new kind of game-people; sailors who's ships crashed on the rocks outside of the island and washed up on to shore. He then tells Rainsferd that Rainsford will be his "most exciting game yet" and challenges Rainsford. At first Rainsford declines, but Zaroff explains that he will either play his game or be tortured by his gaurd, Ivan. Reluctantly, Rainsford accepts Zaroff's challange.
  • Meet the General

    Meet the General
    Before the awkward big guy blows Rainsford's brains out, an old, sophisticated-looking man tells his gaurd to hold up. He immediately recognizes Rainsford as the esteemed hunter he is and invites him to come inside. After having him change his clothes and join him for dinner, the man introduces himself as General Zaroff. He knows a lot about Rainsford from his books and says that it is an honor to meet him. He has travled the world and hunted everything, but he has grown bored of the sport.
  • Day 1- Playing Fox

    Day 1- Playing Fox
    The rules of the game are as follows: Rainsford has a few hours head start to hide from Zaroff while he tracks him down to kill him. If Rainsford can evade Zaroff for 3 days, then Rainsford will live. In order to decive Zaroff, Rainsford gives him a false trail to follow while he hides in the branches of a tree. However, Zaroff was able to follow the trail all the way up to the tree. Instead of killing Rainsford, however, he lets him live to hunt for the next day.
  • Day 2- Man-Catcher

    Day 2- Man-Catcher
    Rainsford goes off to an area and begins carving a trap out of a tree. Sometime later, Zaroff returns by following Rainsford's trail. He touches the spot that activates the trap and narrowly escapes it. He taunts Rainsford, who is now hiding, by congragulating him on being able to construct such a simple device and leaves him to go dress his wounds.
  • Day 2- Tiger Pit

    Day 2- Tiger Pit
    Rainsford moves again and this time begins to dig a hole and fills it with sharp sitcks. He goes off to hide again when he heres fast moving steps comming toward him. As soon as he hears the sound of his trap being sprung, he becomes extatic. The hopefulness is lived short however, when he realizes that it was one of the Genral's dogs that fell, not Zaroff himself. Zaroff then apears, taunts Rainsford again, and then goes back to prepair for the final day.
  • Day 3- Did he get him?

    Day 3- Did he get him?
    This time, Zaroff has brought his entire pack of dogs and Ivan to get Rainsford. Rainsford is on the run and is trying to figure out a way to get rid of his pursuers. An idea strikes him, and he goes behind a tree and ties his knife to one of the lower branches. He ties the branch back, sets a trip wire, and waits a distance a way. When he heres the dogs have reached the knife, he goes to check to see if he caught Zaroff. Zaroff is fine, but Ivan had been caught instead and is now dead.
  • Game's End

    Game's End
    Rainsford continues running as the pack picks up his scent again, only to be cornerd on the edge of a cliff. Rainsford has no choice, but to jump as Zaroff aproaches. Seeing Rainsford has escaped, Zaroff returns to his island castle, only to find Rainsford hiding in his room. Rainsford reveals he swam back when all was calm, and then procedes to kill Zaroff, and wins the game.
