    In 1773 the British East India tea company was going under, now to help with that, the British put a tax on the tea, and shipped it to the Colonies, they didn't like it, NOT ONE BIT. So I one of the greatest acts of defiance they dressed up as Mohawk Indians an boarded the shops and began dumping tea into the habor, they dumped over 92,000 pounds of tea.     In the late hours of April 19th, General Gage and his group of men where sent out to capture Samuel Adams and John Handcock at Lexington then go and seize a gunpowder stash at Concord. On there way to Lexington, the ran into a group of people with guns, they held there ground, and started to walk away, and that's when what was believed to be a person tripping an accidently discharging there rifle. Simply, the Colonist won at Lexington and Concord, but this was the start of something bigger..

    On June 17th, 1775, on the north side of the Boston harbor, the Colonist where waiting at the top of Bunker hill, the British marched forward and where mowed down from Continental army gun fire, during this the British where flanking around the back side of the forces, and when they fled because of low ammo, they where caught off guard with British soldiers to there rear, and they where slaughtered, the British thought that one battle would end it all, which it almost did

    Common Sense is a pamphlet written by Thomas Paine in the 1775-1776 times, which it basically said that that the Colonist need to rally together and separate from Great Britain, and to fight for a egalitarian government. The Colonist didn't know they had the right to separate from there home country.

    On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 delegates of the Continental congress, which marked the start of two things, America, and the start of the Revolution war. It was paper which basically said that the Colonies where going to separate from Great Britain, in doing this they basically signed a declaration of war.     The Battles of Trenton and Princetion
    General George Washington crossed the Delaware river to Trenton, New Jersey and opened fire at the Hessian's who where sleeping in there houses, the Continental Army moved on to Princeton, where they outmaneuvered General Cornwallis and executed a decisive victory at both locations.     The British landed in Savannah, Georgia seized Savannah, then marched to Charleston, where they seize the southern army. Then marched threw the Carolina's, where they lost a lot of battles, and where forced out of the Carolina's in Virginia.   • The Battle of Yorktown

    The Battle of Yorktown
    On September 28th to October 19th of 1781 the Americans surrounded the Yorktown, Virginia which was recently captured by the British as they lost hold of the Carolina's. After the British realized it would be a lost cause to fight back, since they where surrounded and outnumbered, the only thing there was to do was to surrender, which effectively ended the war.
