Columbine
LaDue got all of his skills from Dylan Kebold and Eric Harris. These were LaDue's idols. In the article LaDue stated "kinda want to pay Tribute to him" the columbine shooting is important because this was one of the first and largest school shootings in the 20th century and LaDue tried to recreate this event. -
The plan
LaDue had done a lot of studying into this attack. He wanted fill two pressure cookers with 6000 ball bearings. He also planned to have Dw-40 cans with him to increase the explosion. It's important that we know what he had planned to do so we could possibly prevent someone else from doing the same thing. -
Where it all began
This summer LaDue started making homemade bombs that started his obsession with mass shootings. He tested out a lot of these bombs in public parks and this gave him confidence in his work to where he though he could actually go through these events successfully. -
Caught in the Action
Someone reported LaDue "breaking into" a storage locker.this locker had all of his homemade explosions in it. Police immediately took LaDue into custody. This is important because if LaDue was never caught his actuall massacre plan would have gone through with a lot of teens dead. -
The result
LaDue pleaded guilty to his plan to attck highschool in a plea deal for a shorter sentence. LaDue received 10 years of mental treatment then after that he will go into a halfway house. Even though his charge was pretty easy this could prevent another attacker from doing this because they don't want to go to jail.
