Logan Thibault walked from Colorado to find a women in a photograph. His friend Victor believes that is what kept him alive during war. When he finds her he gets a job and becomes friends with her son. After awhile Beth starts to warm up to Thibault and catches herself starting to like this different man.

He learns more about Beth's past which includes Clayton, her brother, and the photograph. Now Thibault is wondering what his next move will be because the photo has a bigger story behind it. -

Thibault and Beth go on their first date and they realize that they love each other. Clayton hates this fact and wants leverage. To get his leverage he brakes into Thibaults house. Clayton tried to cover is tracks, but Thibault noticed. Thibault brings this up with Beth and she doesn't know how to react. -

Beth talks to Clayton about what Thibault had said. Clayton freaks out but lies his way through the conversation. Thibault also has a talk with Clayton to make sure he backs down. During that conversation Thibault gives the picture to Ben and tells him it will keep him safe. Beth tells Thibault to leave. -

She forgives him and invites him over for dinner. Clayton spied on them and goes to have a talk with Beth. Clayton gets angry at Beth and threatens to take full custody of Ben. has swelled greatley because of the on going storm. Ben is hanging on to the frayed rope that is partially in the water. Clayton jumps in after him and Thibault soon follows. Ben swims to zues who dragged him to dry land. Ben and Beth cry out helplessly for Clayton and Thibault. Epilogue: Beth drives to the cemetery with flowers and sets them on Claytons grave. She then returns home to Thibault.
