Pythagoras is also credited with the discovery that the intervals between harmonious musical notes always have whole number ratios.
The mystical Pythagoras was so excited by this discovery that he became convinced that the whole universe was based on numbers, and that the planets and stars moved according to mathematical equations, which corresponded to musical notes, and thus produced a kind of symphony, the “Musical Universalis” or “Music of the Spheres”. -

Pythagoras again decided that he was going to move away from Samos.....so he went to Italy.
Here he founded a religious school and had several followers who adopted his philosophical principles. He had inner circle of followers known as the ‘Mathematikoi’. -
Sadly all good things must pass....Pythagoras died in Metapontum, Italy. However, there are no records of how he died. It was either suicide, murder by Cylon's men, or he starved to death

Shortly after his arrival in Italy, Pythagoras started to make discoveries. It is here in Croton that Pythagoras discovered, or at least found proof of his well-known Pythagorean Theorem.
