Chapters 1-3
This book starts out at a kind of mystery a boy wakes up tied to a chail and has pain threw out his body but in his head the last thing he remembers is going to bed on a normal school night. This boys name is charlie west. He over hears the two gaurds out side his door and they are called homlanders. he also hears them talk about not getting another shot at a guy named yarrow. He also hears them say that they need to "kill him" and they are talking about charlie. -
Chapters 4-6
last time Charlie over herd his death sentace and he still has no clue were he is or why he's there. So he recalls how your life flashes before your eyes and he trys to remember that and the last day he remembers was a normal day seeing normal people. he then goes on to talk about his crush beth summers. he also remembers that he had a karate class. he is a black belt and is very good at karate. he also talks about his sensei mike and a card he gave charlie. the card was of winsten churchill -

The card was of winstin churchill and on it it has meaning full words to charlie it says"Never give in,Never give up".he then comes back to reality and looks for somthing he could use to cut his straps.on the right leg of the chair is a rouph spot so he uses it.two men walkin and dont notice so charlie just tries to distract them by talking his leg comes free and he kicks one man and the man goes down quick charlie grabs him by the trout and talks to the other about undoing his strap, he escape -
Chapters 7- 9
back to the last day: he had a Karate deminstration for the school were he breaks bricks and is happy when the intire asembly cheers for him. he escaped out of the room but not the builing he trys for what seems like a painted window and it was. he then steals a truck and leave the compound but then crashes the truck. he flashes back again to his last lunch were with his friends hee eats but also gets beth summers phone number. -
Chapter 10 -12
he starts to have an argument with winsten churchill about never giving in so he doesnt charlie gets out of the truck and starts to run. he goes into the woods and folows a creek trying to escape the dogs. he is cornerd at a hole in the earth and decides to go down it into to pitch black. -
Chapter 13- 15
he looks back on his last karate class with mike and what happed after ward with Alex( his best friend in the past) he was with friends and was talking to charlie in a bad way so charlies started to leave and was defending himself from his friends as he got into his car alex got in the passenger seat so they could talk. they talk and talk but start talking about paitriottism and get in and argument alex leave and charlie lost him in fog -
Chapter 16 - 21
charlie is in the cave looking for a way out when a homlander came looking for him so charlie kept going deeper and deeper in the cave until the homelander gave up charlie then desided to go deeper to find another exit. he did but just bearly. he is found by a woman and doughter who take him in but charlie finds he is also wanted by the police and meets the detective asigned to his case "Rose". charlie is in jail and is being moved when someone tells him "find waterman" and loosens his cuffs. -

Charlie and the crazy lady colect cans to trade in for cash so charlie can go to the indian canyon and try to save yarrow. -
Chapters 22 - 27
Charlie is being transported to the jail when on the police radio he hears that the head of homland security is going to be in town and the mans name is yarrow so charlie relizes the the homlanders(terrorist) are going to kill yarrow. they dont listen. later charlie escapes the cops before he was in side the jail. charlie also steals the police car they caried him in. he goes to a homless shelter for food and rest. he also saves a woman that turns out to be crazy. she still helps him. -
Chapters 28 -31
Charlie is trying to save yarrow but has to do one more thing, he calles beth he memorized her number and he explains that he cant understand much now and he tells her not to worry. and he finds out that they were in a relationship for the past year. he makes it to the bridge were all seems well when a man dressed as seceret service shoots two state troopers. the seceret sevice man was a homelander. charlie charges the homlander(ortan) and they fight charlie learns that he was a homlander. -

charlie also learns that the one running all of the homelanders is prince. ortan gained an upper hand and was waiting to blow up the bridge with the remote when charlie set it off way to soon the cars on the other side of the bridge were safe, but open fired on the two, ortan was shot and killed but charlie escaped. he save yarrow and learned more on his past and so he started to run.
