After it is announced there can be two winners at this year's Hunger Games Katniss finds Peeta and they form an alliance, playing to the crowd's desire for them to be a couple.

Katniss saves Peeta's life by retrieving some medicine at the "feast' . During the retreaval Katniss is saved by Thresh, the other contestant from District 11, for how she treated Rue.

After putting Cato out of his misery from the mutations that have attacked them, the games' announcer proclaims there can now only be one winner. Katniss and Peeta proceed to eat poison berries, and as they put them in their mouths there is an announcement that they have both won the Hunger Games.

After having spent some time collecting food Katniss notices some of the berries Peeta found are missing and they happen to be poisonous berries. Soon Foxface's body is over crafted away.

After being tranquilized Katniss awakes and her reunion with Peeta is televised as the "happy couple" who won the Hunger Games.
