Fiction; Read pages 1-15; Total (15) In the first few pages of The Hunger games, the competion was explained. Characters such as Catniss, Prim, and Gale were introduced. The main part was when Catniss and Gale were talking about running away. -
Entry #2
Pages read 15-30; Total (30) Catniss and prime get ready for the cerimony, They get all dolled up and discuss the chances they each had. Prime's odds were in her favor. However the cerimony went on and Primes name was chosen. As Catniss heart sinks she volunteers as tribute, without even thinking about it, Catniss did what she felt was needed to keep her sister safe. Its a good thing they didn't run away, or Prim would have been without a volunteer to take her place. -
3rd Entry

Catniss is getting ready to go. Petta throughs her a whole loaf of bread and she dosen't know why. As prim and Catniss and thier mom eat some of the bread they say thier good byes. Although Catniss is more worried about prim then herself, she doesn't think she is skilled enough to make it far. However her disctrict pays her visits minutes before she leaves and Catniss recieves lots of generious gifts. -
4th Entry

Its pretty much Catniss' last minutes before the games. She is getting ready for the day and realizes why she was givin' that pin with the mocking Jay. She Is really worried about Prim. She makes Gale promises he won't let them starve. -
5th entry

This passage took place at the cerimony before the games started. The tributes were loaded with a delicious buffet to start the day. Then they had to get styled up, thier hair,nails,makeup and outfits done, Each district had to represent something. For instance district twelve had an amzing entrace representing Coal. Because you burn coal they desdided to light thier capes on fake fire. The crowd loved it! -

The training Center has a tower designed specifiacally for the tirbutes and thier teams. Each district had thier own floor. And this is where Catniss and Peeta are staying until the games begin. They are treated with hudge feasts mainly so they can disscuss stratagies. -

Its the first few days of training. The creators of the game sit back and observe will Katniss, Peeta and the other tributes go through the different stations. Katniss needs to get their attention so she shoots the pig that they were about to feast on. -

Peeta expresses his love for Katniss, and all the fans love it. She never even saw it comeing. Meanwhile the games offically begin. Katniss plans her route as she waits her last safe 60 seconds. Within minutes of the games begining some tributes already lay dead. Katniss got a bag with a little food, iodine and a sleeping bag. She was very dehydrated on day two but just as she is about to give up, She finds a pond to rest by and rehydrate. That night she is awoken by a fire. -

Because of the fire Katniss disiedes to clim a tree. The group that is working together spot her and try to clim themsleves because they can't get up they are waiting till she comes down. Katniss meets Rue who is in another tree next to her. She point at a bees nest and katniss drops it on the goup,. Katniss got stung and huluncenates a little. Then a bag of apples that Katniss found blows up. -

Katniss sees Rue die right in front of her eyes. And the first person she kills is the one who killed Rue. Moments before Rue dies Katniss sings the song she sings her sister. Katniss finds our that thier can be 2 winners from the same district and immediatly finds peeta. For the audience she spices up the romance and helps him try to heel. She goes to the feast and get the bag she needs.She almost looses her life but runs away as fast as possible. -

One of the other tiboutes had Peeta caught. Peeta hints at Katniss to shoot his and she does. He lets go and the push him down. Eventually the cannon sounds to say he his dead. However the capitol changes thier mind and voids the last rule about 2 winners. Katniss isn't going to kill Peeta and Peeta won't kill Katniss however, Katniss realizes she has poisonious berries. They each put one in thier mouth and the Capitol instantly changes thier mind. The both are Crowned.
