This is a fiction book. this book is about the "future" america and it is split up into 12 districts, and than there is the Capitol. The capitol controls all of the other districts. To ensure that there isnt another rebellion the do something called the hunger games, this is where they take two tributes from each district and than they are all forced to fight to the death having only one surrvivor. Katniss and peeta are selected from there district. Currently they are training and preparing. -

During training for the games katniss notices a young tribute named rue, rue is the same age as katniss sister primrose, rue follows peeta and katniss around during training All the tributes have to go infront of the gamemakers to get scored scores helped them get sponses. Katniss being in district twelve was one of the last to go up so to get there attention she shot an arrow towards them. She was afraid the would deduct points or harm her family but she ended up getting the highest score an 11 -

peeta decided to do seperate training from katniss and she felt betryed but realized than to have that feeling she must of had some trust in him haymitch thought that katniss was going to do poorly in the interview and that made her doubt herself but her stylist cianna told her how cofident he was in her and just to look at him the whole time, and she ended up doing good. During peetas interview she learned he had feelings for her, or at least thats what he said, she was furious and confused -

peeta announces during his interview that he is in love with katniss. feeling that this makes her look week she is angry and shoves peeta causes him to break a vase and cut his hands which puts him at a disavantage for the games. She apoligizes realizing that this makes her seem more appealing and will probably help her gain sponsers. Than the next moring at 10 the hunger games begin. -

katniss was nervous for the games she didnt know what to expect and her mind couldnt stop going. When the day of it arrived she was sitting below with cianna one of her stylist they talked and he tried as best he could to calm her nerves. He gave her the mockinjay pin she had worn the first day she arrived and told her to keep it hidden. When sh first entered the arena they are alll made to stand on the podem until a minute has passed. She surrvives the first night she fell asleep in a tree. -

when she says at the end of the book, "dreading the moment when i will have finally have to let go." this to me shows me that she has these developed stronger feelings for peeta and she is not only scared of what the consequences might be but also of the fact that after everything they have beem through together that she might actually have to lose him. I am intrested to see what the happens in the next book of this seris, -

Peeta and katniss ended up being the last two standing. They couldnt bring them selves to kill eachother so in an act of rebelion they were going to eat posinous berries so that they could show the capitol that they couldnt control anything. But of course this could not be aloud they are both aloud to leave but have no idea what the consequences of this stunt must be, You also see katniss and peetas relationship grow, especially when she said at the end of the book, "dreading the moment when i h
