Timeline: The Hunger Games

1 CE

Katniss gives a pin to her sister to protect her.

The hunger games is an annual event, where 24 young people will fight until there is only one survivor. Katniss' sister is chosen as the female participant from her district, but Katniss volunteers instead. Katniss gives a pin to her younger sister to protect her.

Train to the Capital

Katniss meets the other participant, Peeta. On the train, they meet a former hunger games winner, who is going to coach them.

Opening ceremony

Katniss and Peeta shos up in clothes lit on fire. Katniss becomes the "fire woman".

Training session

The competitors train for the big event.

Third day of training

The contestants are going to show off their skills and will later on get a score based on their performance. Katniss is going to shoot with a bow, but she misses the first shot. The audience is not impressed so they ignore her. Katniss shoots an incredible shot to get the audiences atention and she ends up with the highest score of them all.

Television show

The contestants enter a television show the day before the competition. She tells the audience that she will win for her sister. When it is Peeta's turn he says that he is in love with Katniss. Katniss acts like she is in love with him as well, to get the sponsors nd audience to like them more.

Katniss receives a pin

The 24 contestants are sent into the game. Right before Katniss is about to enter, her stylist gives her a pin, just like her sister's.

The game begins

The contestants are sent in to the map, where they are met by loads of weapons and medicine. Katniss chooses not to grab any weapons and heads for the woods instead.

Katniss hides in a tree

Katniss hides in a tree to not be seen by the other contestants. An alliance notices her and tries to shoot her. They do not hit her and they decide to wait for her to come down. In the morning Katniss drops a bees nest on her enemies n the ground. One of them die from the wasps.

The destruction of the enemies' food suplies

Katniss meets a little girl called Rue. They agree to ruin the food supplies of their enemies. They succeed in ruining their food storage.

Rue dies

Rue is shot by an enemy and dies. Katniss put flowers around her as a proper goodbye.

Change of gameplans

The people who design the game, anounce that there can be two winners this year as long as they are from the smae district.

Katniss finds Peeta

Katniss tries to find Peeta so that they can team up and win together. Katniss finds Peeta but he has been hurt and his life is in danger.

Three people left

There are only three people left and the game makers decide to put out some dogs. Katniss and Peeta runs to the base camp and jumps onto the roof to hide from the dogs. There, they meet the enemy.

Cato dies

Cato (their enemy) Gets pushed of the building and the dogs eat him up.

Change of game-plans, again

The game creators announce that there can only be one winner. Peeta tells Katniss to shoot him and let her win, but she does not want to. Therefore they both agree to eat poison berries so that there is no winner. Right before they eat the berries, the game makers tels them to stop. The game makers do not want to have a game without a winner and tells the two remaining people that they have both won.
