The Reaping is the choosing of a boy and girl tributes for the Hunger Games. Everyone from the ages of 12-18 must gather in the square. Primrose (Prim) Everdeen was chosen for the girls but her older sister,Katniss vonlunteered for her. Peeta Mellark was chosen for the boys.

During the train ride to the Capitol, the two tributes (Katniss & Peeta) from District 12 get to know their mentor a little more. Haymitch Abernathy advises them to follow whatever their stylist says.

Cinna,Katniss's stylist dressed both of the tributes up very erratically. Katniss wore a long dress and a ring of fire ,which brought on a lot of appeal for both of them.

The two tributes of District 12 meet up with their mentor,Haymitch to stress their strengths. Katniss works on her archery and Peeta works on his camoflauging skills.

All the tributes show off their skills to the Games Makers. Katniss managed to get a score of 11, the highest score ever given to any tribute in the history of the Hunger Games.

There is a 20-feet high Cornupia filled with supplies for the Tributes such as, food, containers of water, weapons, medicine, garments,and fire starters. Katniss gets a sheet of plastic ,a loaf of bread and an orange backpack.

The Games Makers sent a wall on fire to get Katniss closer to the other tributes so they will all kill each other,making the Hunger Games interesting.

Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are crowned champions of the 74th Hunger Games.!!!
