The Creation of the Northwest Penland Colonies
The mighty country of Northwest Penland decided that they needed some more elbow room. The government voted for the creation of colonies. They negotiated with the slightly less mighty country of Pencilland for a portion of their land. Pencilland of course agreed to this deal as they were scared of the mighty Pens. Thus the Northwest Penland colonies were born, all through the power of diplomacy. The colonies lived in peace for about 25 years before anything upset the balance. -
The Corned War Begins
A Northwest Penland diplomat, while on a visit Pencilland, stole some of the nation's short supply of precious corn. This angered Pencilland so they declared war on Northwest Penland. Instead of using their own standing army, they decided to draft soldiers strictly from the colonies. The men and women of the colonies were forced to fight a war, over corn, that they did not start. This begin to lay the seeds of frustration in the minds of the colonists. -

After a nearly pointless war the people of colonial Northwest Penland came out on top -
The Introduction of the Orange Cream Soda Tax
As individuals living in the colonies of Northwest Penland were heavily reliant on orange cream soda for the growth of their crops, Northwest Penland imposed a tax on the foreign imports of orange cream soda making the citizens have to purchase their orange cream soda from the government. This irritated the citizens of colonial Northwest Penland because they now had to pay more for an essential product. -
The Formation of the Minutemaid Guys
After the government of Northwest Penland enacted the Orange Cream Soda tax, many of the colonial citizens wanted to take a stand. Thus the creation of the Minutemaid Guys. These brave individuals would steal the Orange Cream Soda from Northwest Penland and replace it with Minutemaid Orange Juice. Thanks to their valiant efforts the colonies began to be able to stock up on crops -
The Rebellion to End All Rebellions
Eventually the people of colonial Northwest Penland grew tired of having such a high tax imposed on them, so they decided to do something about it. They staged the perfect surprise attack in which the Minutemaid Guys broke into the Northwest Penland and forced the king to sign a document recognizing the principality of colonial Northwest Penland. This led to the creation of the country called the Slick Nation -
The Ratification of the Constitution
The people of Slick Nation decided to call their new government the Eslick Democracy after the fearless leader of the Minutemaid Guys. They quickly began drafting a Constitution after their independence was granted. This laid out the laws of the land and how presidents shall be chosen. -
The Election of the First President
The people got together on election and united behind one man, Mr. Eslick. He has become the first ever president of the Slick Nation under the Eslick Democracy
