    Hadean Era

    Hadean Era
    4.6 billion years ago, Earth is created. Its just a big, hot, rock.
  • 35,000 BCE

    Archean Era

    Archean Era
    3.5 billion years ago, a lot had changed. Asteroids carrying water crashed into Earth, which evaporated in to clouds, causing it to rain, overall cooling down Earth. In fact, there was so much water, the whole world flooded. Volcanoes cooled down forming small islands everywhere. What an era!

    Proterozoic Era

    Proterozoic Era
    700 million years ago was near the end of this era. It is the longest era lasting almost 4 billion years! The Earth is very cold, but at least there is life. Around 1.7 billion years ago single-celled creatures started appearing, and 30 million years ago multi-celled creatures started to come! There are less volcanoes, but the ones that were there created huge mass of land. There are tons of plants that are releasing oxygen into the air. Ah sweet fresh air.

    Mesozoic Era
    The reptiles start to grow more than before, and 252 to 66 million years ago dinosaurs roamed the Earth. They later all died from a meteor, but.....at least there's humans!

    Almost the whole world is covered in ice, of considering Earth a "snowball". Humans hunted furry animals to make warm clothes. Not much happens except everything freezing!

    Stone Age

    Stone Age
    The humans start to grow and they're kind of smart, so they built stuff with stone. This period lasted 3.4 million years and ended between 8700 BCE and 2000 BCE. The newfound oxygen is mixing with small iron sources to create huge metal sources.

    Bronze Age

    Bronze Age
    Well.....they found the metal sources. With plentiful metal, the humans were able to make strong weapons and tools. This helped them grow as a society leading to bigger better things! Some of the humans eventually decided to leave Europe and explore Africa and Asia, leading to completely different cultures.

    Ancient Egypt

    Ancient Egypt
    Somewhere in the deserts of Africa, a new dynasty is formed. The leader is a man named Narmer (Menes), succeeded by Hor-Aha (Khenthap). This empire went on to build huge things like the Sphinx or the Pyramids.

    Yin Dynasty

    Meanwhile in China, the Yin Dynasty is created. This is the first Chinese dynasty, and there are a lot!

    Ancient Greece

    Ancient Greece
    The humans became smarter and smarter and growing bigger and bigger until they finally made a decent empire. This resulted in not basing everything on bronze (R.I.P Bronze Age). The Greeks made huge buildings and hosted events like the Olympics.

    Persian Empire

    Persian Empire
    Meanwhile in Asia, many new empires are created including the Median, Babylonian, and Persian empires. The Persian empires stood out as one of the largest empires of all time. Their leader Cyrus the Great killed many people and destroyed many empires. But in 330 B.C. Alexander the Great, one of his admirers, fiercely conquered the entire Persian Empire in one of the greatest battles of history. He was considered Achilles and his tutor.....was Aristotle! The empire fell apart 1920.
