The Ghost of Graylock By: Dan Poblocki

    Bree and Neil go to their aunts' house because they are having family problems. One of their aunts told them about Graylock, a haunted hospital. Bree and Neil decide to go there with their friends.

    "His cheeks burned with embarrassment" (Pobolski 85). Neil is embarrassed.

    "But Andy was kind enough to drop it" (Pobolski 91). Andy was a guy who brought Neil to the doctor after he was hurt.

    "Neil felt a chill as he walked through the front door" (Poblocki 85). Neil is scared and didn't want to tell his aunts what was going on.

    "'A long time ago, when I told my family that I was moving to New York City from Nowheresville, Pennsylvania, they asked me if I was scared. I guess I was, but the city is a praticular kind of scary, where you have several simple rules to stay safe'" (Pobloski 89).

    "'It's better' said Neil, his heart racing" (Pobolski 91). Neil is scared that Andy will tell his secret.

    Bree and Neil learn that there is a nurse who died at the hospital. She kills any kids that come to the hospital by dragging them out to woods.

    Bree, Neil break into Graylock. They thought they saw Nurse Janet. They heard a lot of scary sounds. Neil fell through a hole in the floor and got a bad cut on his knee. Know he has to explain to his aunt claire what happened.
  • Rising Action- ghost visit

    Neil had a nightmare about being trapped at Graylock. He woke up and thought his sister was in his room. When he got up he saw that the floor around his bed was wet. He checked his sister's room, but found out that she had never left her bed. He was visited by the ghost.

    Once they got home, Aunt Claire was asking questions to Bree, and she was put on the spot because she didn't want to say how horrible it was or get anyone in trouble. (Poblocki 59).
