The movie
Hazel goes to Gus' house to watch a movie based on his favourite video game and they bond over their favourite books and swap reading material -
The night of broken trophies
Augustus and Hazel try to comfort their friend Isaac who hs recenlty had surgery to remove his one working eye and the cancer that was infecting it. Isaac is in the midst of an emotional breakdown because his long time girlfriend broke up with him because she didn't want to date a blind boy. To help numb the pain Augustus lets him break all of his basketball trophies that he hated. -
The contact
Augustus and Hazel decide to write to the author of An Imperial Infliction, Hazel's favourite book. -
The "date"
Augustus takes Hazel on a picnic and they decide that since Augustus still hadn't used his wish that he would take her to Amsterdam to meet her favourite author. -
The Responce
Hazel gets a reply from the author and is heartbroken to hear that there is and will not be a sequal to the book -
The departure
Augustus, Hazel and Hazel's mom leave for Amsterdam -
The dinner date
Augustus and Hazel are treated to a lovely dinner by Peter Van Houten (the author) and they admit to each other that they are in love with each other -
