    Rome declared after the people rebelled against the king, he was snet away. Upper class citizens had all the power in their hands so, they over ruled the common people. Those people hepled to create a new demogratic institution called the Sentate. The citizens of Rome had to be male and free. Woman were not considered citizens.

    Athenian Greek

    Athenian Greek
    Accent Greeks had the first democracy. There were three branches. Ekklesia, Boule, and Dikasteria. Decisions were made by representatives from each one of the Greek Tribes. Citizens also had freedom of speech to participate in the political area.

    In 1215 King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta. This made sure that King John could no longer do whatever he wanted and it meant no-one was above the law.
  • American Revolution

    The American Revolution created that first real democracy and Americans could vote except for the woman. They werent aloud to vote until 1919. For the government, their powers were restricted.
  • French Revolution

    For democracy, the middle class of France removed their King and Queen and sent them to the guilotine. Power then fell to the military dictator, who then tried to take over Europe.
  • Communism

    In 1848 Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote and punlished "The Communist Manifesto". In 1917, Vladamir Lenin later on was able to iver throw the Russian Tzar with still following Karl's rules, he adapts it to make it his own.

    After WWI, there was a fascist government formed in Italy by Sir Mussolini. He used "Black Shirts" to keep order. In the 1920's a young ex army corporal, started a lot of racial hatred against the Jews. He killed 55 million people and took out 6 million jews.
  • Nazism

    Nazism is a set of political beliefs with the Nazi Party and Germany. It started in 1933 and lasted until 1945, at the end of WW2. This was thought of a form of fascism.
  • United Nations

    United Nations
    The United Nations is an international organization. In 1948, the UN created declaration for Human Rights. This meant that humans have the right to work without abuse from the government. At the time there were 51 member states.
