Rainsford and Whitney are chatting on the yacht about the island they just past called ship trap island. Whitney decides to go to sleep, while Rainsford stays up to have a pipe. suddenly a rope swag past and knocked his pipe out of his mouth and Rainsford reaches he arm out to grab it and falls overboard. Rainsford try's to call for help but no one here and the yacht keeps sailing away. -

General Zaroff and Rainsford share a meal together talking about there common interest in hunting. Rainford suddenly finds out that General Zaroff is hunting human. Rainford starts to feel uncomfortable and wants to leave but General Zaroff won't let him he hasn't played the game yet Rainsford doesn't wont to but he has too in order to survive -
General Zaroff tells Rainsford that if he is not find by midnight on the third day Rainsford is free. Rainsford gets a supply of hunting clothes and runs. Rainsford first idea was to make a fake trail through the jungle but that does not work General Zaroff finds him hiding in the tree but he simply just looks up at smiles and give Rainsford time.
