    Mother "dies"
    Christopher's father told him that his mother had died. At first she was in the hospital for a while and Christopher wanted to visit her, but his father said that she needed rest so they weren't allowed to visit. A few days later, Christopher's father said that she had died of a heart attack.
  • Wellington Dies

    Wellington Dies
    Today is the day that Wellington, the friendly nieghbor dog dies. Christopher finds him lying on the ground with a garden fork in the side of him. The dog belonged to Mrs. Shears, Christopher's neighbor
  • Christopher gets arrested

    Christopher gets arrested
    When the police show up to Mrs. Shear's house they start to investigate to see who killed Wellington. The police ask Chirstopher questions like, "How old are you?" , "Why were you holding the dog?" , and "Did you kill the dog?" Christopher says no, and the police man grabs ahold of him, and he doesnt like that so he hits the policeman. He gets arrested and his father had to get him out.

    In the next few days, Christopher decides to not listen to his father and try to find out who killed Wellington. He goes door to door asking his neighbors if they know who killed him. If they said no, then he said "thank you" and walked away. He always had his Swiss Army Knife with the blade out, just in case someone tried to hurt him.
  • Christpoher finds out about Mr. Shears

    Christopher ran into Mrs. Alexander again, so he decides to ask her about Mr. Shears. She tells Christopher that he has to promise not to tell his father what she is about to tell him. He promises and asks if Mr. Shears killed mother. She said no and wonders why he asked that. She tells him that Mr. Shears and Mother had an affair, and so Mr. Shears left Mrs. Shears and Mother left Father.

    Father finds Christopher's book
    Father found Christopher's book that he had been writing. He went up to Christopher and was really upset. He asked Christopher if he had asked Mrs. Alexander about Wellington and mother. Christopher answered "yes" because he never lied. Father said " How stupid are you?!" but Christopher didn't know how to answer that because he knew that it was a rhetorical question. Father decided to hide the book so Christopher couldn't continue writing it.
  • Chirstopher finds the letters

    Chirstopher finds the letters
    Christopher went into Father's room searching for his book, when found envelopes addressed to him. He reads them and he finds out that they are from Mother. His mother explained in the letters that she had to leave Father for having an affair and that she wanted to come back and say good-bye to him, but Father wouldn't allow it.

    When Christopher's father found him in his room, he saw that Christopher had gotten sick, and he saw that he had read the letters. His father then explained why he told Christopher that his mother had died, and he said that he was going to tell him when he was older. Also, his father told Christopher that he had killed Wellington. Christopher felt very scared by his father now.

    Christopher walked downstairs the next night. He finds his father on the couch sleeping. Since he felt threatened and scared of his father now, he knew that he had to run away and the only "logical" answer to him was to go live with Mother in London. He had memorized her address from the letters that she sent him. He then went to Mrs. Shears house and since no one was home he went to Mrs. Alexander to ask her if she could watch Toby, his pet rat. She said she couldnt do that and called Father

    After a long day at the train station, Christopher follows many maps to get to Wilesdon, which is where his mother lives. He rang the door bell, but no one was there, so he waited in the garden area. Around 11:30 p.m., he heard some voices from which he recognized. One of them was his mother's. He had found her.
  • Close Encounters

    Close Encounters
    When Christopher finally gets to the train station, he's very scared because the people around are all strangers. A police man finds him and helps him get money off of his father's cash card and to get a ticket. He gets a ticket and is on the train, when the policeman refinds him and tells him that his father is looking for him. Right when they were about to get on the train, it closes the doors and Christopher hides from the policeman so he doesnt get taken back to Father.
  • The move back

    The move back
    Christopher's mother told him that they had to move back to Swindon. Christophert was happy because that way, he could do his maths exam. Mother "borrows" Mr. Shear's car and they move back. Christopher gets an A on his exam and Father buys him a puppy because he wants Christopher's trust back and he wants to talk to him again. Mother gets a job and Father lets them live at his house for a few weeks until Mother gets a job and gets back on her feet.
