    Great Britain and United States invade Africa

    They used Africa to get Germany to put there troops inbetween where British and US troops for an easy victory.

    Battle of Normandy

    British and U.S. troops land on the beaches of Normandy. Paris is liberated by Allied forces. By December, nearly all of France, most of Belgium, and parts of the Netherlands are liberated. On D--Day a over 4,000 allied powers troops lost their lives, Over 156,000 soldiers arrived to fight.

    Battle of the Bulge

    Hitler held a blitzkrieg against the Allied Powers, there were loads of casulties but Allied powers won.
  • Soviets launch final offensive, encircling Berlin, Germany

  • Hitler commited suicide

  • Germany surrenders to the western Allies.

  • Germany surrenders to the Soviets.

  • US drops Atom bomb on Hiroshima

    80,000 people died immedietly and an extra 60,000 people died later that year. It was the first time the atom bomb was used.
  • US drops Atom bomb on Nagaski

    Japan wouldn't surrender after Hiroshima, so the US dropped the bomb on Nagasaki which killed over 80,000 people
  • Japan unconditionally surrenders

  • Japan formally surrenders, ending World War II.
