  • Exposition

    The story begins in Kentucky, with the main protogonist called Taylor. Who begins her jurney by moving out her hometown and lands in Tucson, Arizona, where she meets Turtle in her passenger seat when she gets out the bar. Taylor then meets a women, who agrees to let her stay with her. And throughout the story love and friendship, abandonment and belonging appear.
  • Conflict

    The main conflict is all about the relationship Taylor has to make with a three year old baby. Which is not hers, but is abandoned by its native mother.
  • Rising Action

    Taylor takes good responsibility of the abandoned child "Turtle", and meets two great friends she receives. Named Lou Ann and Mattie, who she has a very close friendship with.
  • Turning Point

    Taylor Greer wants to oficially adopt Turtle, but she can not, because she needs permission from Turtles legal parents. And there has been a crackdown on illegal immigrants that has left Taylor worried for Matties secret hide out apartments, and the immigrants.
  • Falling Action

    Two of Taylor close friends she met by Mattie, named Estevan and Esperanza. A couple illegally immigrated, that left behind their own daughter when traveling to the US. Help Greer by pretending they are Turtles legal parents so that they can adopt her. As soon as turtle is legally turned to Greer, they both head back to Tucson.
  • Resolution

    At the end of the story Estevan and Esperanza's conflict with the crackdown is resolved. And Taylor and Turtle become a legal family. After legally being adopted Turtle becomes Taylor's company in delivering both Esperanza and Estevan to their new home, a church in Oklahoma. After droping them off, Taylor and Turtle head back home.
