On April 18th British troops marched from Boston to nearby Concord in order to seize an arms cache.

    American force of Colonial and French troops led seige to the British Army at Yorktown. It was Led by George Washington and French General Comte de Rochambeau, they began their final attack on October 14th capturing two British defenses and leading to their surrender.

    signed in Paris by representatives of King George III of Great Britain and representatives of the United States of America thus ending the American Revolutionary War.
