McCain was the republican candidate. His vice was Palin who had little experience in politics. Which critics pointed out when McCain pointed out that Obama has had little experience in politics too. Obama got more campaign money from private businesses, and criticized the republicans for the war in Iraq. Obama was also able to get young supporters, unlike McCain.
