The first ENIAC Computer was built around WWII in the U.S. by an American physicist named John Mauchly, J. Presper Eckert Jr., and their colleagues at the Moore School of Electrical Engineering at Penn. This began in early 1943 and ended in February 1946.

Apple Inc. was founded by Stephen G. Wozniak and former high school classmate Steve Jobs. They worked out of Jobs family garage. Their profit and size grew at a historical rate by 1980, their net worth was over $100 million and they had more than 1,000 employees.

Tim Berners-Lee was the one who invented the World Wide Web in 1989 and his colleagues at CERN. It was available for release to the general public in January 1992.

YouTube was released on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim. They were formally employees of PayPal.

Snapchat was created in 2011 by Evan Spiegel, Reggie Brown, and Bobby Murphy. They were students at Stanford. In July 2011, they released "Picaboo" the precursor to Snapchat. After they forced Brown out and relaunched as Snapchat in September 2011.
