  • Washington Naval Conference

    Many countries wanted to prevent the chance of war, so the Washington Naval Conference was held. The world’s largest naval powers gathered in Washington, D.C. for a conference to discuss naval restrictions and ways to relieve growing tensions in East Asia.
  • The Revenue Act

    The act was created to establish the U.S. Boarded of Tax Appeals and to lower tax rates. "It was called "An Act To reduce and equalize taxation, to provide revenue, and for other purposes,"" stated from the "Revenue Act of 1924".
  • The Stock Market Crash of 1929

    It was a collapse in stock prices that lead to the Great Depression, which made it one of the worst declines in U.S. history.
  • The Twenty-First Amendment

    The amendment repealed the Eighteenth Amendment to the U.S Constitution, which was the nationwide prohibition of alcohol.
  • Gold Standard Termanation

    The Gold Standard was terminated in the U.S..
  • The Fair Labor Standard Act

    The act is a federal law which establishes minimum wage, record keeping, overtime pay eligibility, and child labor standards affecting full-time and part-time workers in the private sector and in federal, state, and local governments.
  • WWII Begins in 1939

    The forces involved in WWII were the Axis powers (Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria) against the Allies (U.S., Britain, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia).
  • First Peacetime Draft of 1940

    In the U.S. the country was formally at peace, but civilians were drafted into the army incase of threats of aggression from other countries.
