  • Japan withdraws from the Leadgue of Nations

    the Japanese withdrew from the League of Nations due to a vote they called “unfair” over giving Manchuria back to the Chinese. The Japanese did not want to give it back therefore parting from the League of Nations.
  • Italy invades Ethiopia

    an armed conflict that resulted in Ethiopia’s subjection to Italian rule. Often seen as one of the episodes that prepared the way for World War II, the war demonstrated the ineffectiveness of the League of Nations when League decisions were not supported by the great powers.

  • Spanish Civil War begins

    the Munich Conference started which was a conference by the leaders of Great Britain, France, and Italy allowing Germany to annex certain areas of Czechoslovakia.
