    May 24, 1856
    John Brown and five of his friends came down to the south and snuck into people’s houses and killed five people.

    It was where John Brown and his group of men went down and attacked a ferry to get the slaves to revolt and attack.

    The states that were the farthest south that owned slaves and plantations started their own thing called the confederate states.

    Confederate guns came around the border of fort Sumter and they opened fire on the Fort Sumter.

    South Carolina wanted to keep slaves so they were forced to leave the union then we started a war.
