    In this section, Buck was "dog"napped by the gardner at Judge Millers' place. Then he was brought to go dog sledding in Canada. Buck also learns that things can change in a blink of an eye. He goes from well fed to malnourished. Also in a blink of an eye, new dogs are added to the team. One thing Buck learns is to never lose a fight. All the dogs were attacked by wild dogs. Buck also gets in a fight with Spitz, another sled dog. Buck then later on kills Spitz. Pages: 1-51 Total: (537)
  • Chapter 4-7, 52-160

    When the sled arrives at John Thorntons' place, John ends up taking Buck and keeping him. Buck ends up being loyal to Thornton by saving his life two times. While camping one night, Buck hears a wolf howling so he goes to follow it. For awhile, he goes back and forth netween camp and the woods. One day when he returns he finds John and the rest of the group dead. They all were attacked by Yeehaw Indians. Buck then decided to join the wolfpack. Pages: 52-160 Total: (645)
