Softball was created after a group of men heard the ending score of a Yale verse Harvard game. The Yale alumnus jokingly threw a a wadded up boxing glove at a Harvard reporter. The reporter hit the large ball like object the a stcik.From this event, softball has grown to be a predominately female sport enjoyed by girls across the world.

National Hockey League
The NAtioal Hockey League was established on November 22nd 1917. However, it wasn't until four days later, on November 26th, that five clubs officially joined the new league. The Ottawa Senators, the Quebec Bulldogs, the Montreal Canadiens, the Montreal Wanderers, and the Toronto Arenas were the first teams before it quickly grew into what it has become today. American Professional Football Association
The American Professional Football Association was founded by Bert Bell and George Halas in Canton, Ohio. The association started out with 11 teams. Two years later, the association changed its name to the National Football League. It is now consisted of 32 teams and is the largest national football league in the world.
