  • Vocational Rehabilitation Act

    This act makes it so that people who have disabilites are not discriminated against. This is important so that people who do have disabilities will still be able to receive federally funded programs. It will make it so that they will not be discriminated against with social or health services. It changed so that it is equal opportunity for all.

  • Education for All Handicapped Children Act

    This is important to make sure that the students who have disabilities still get a good education. This is important for them to lead a life like anyone else. They can have the opportunity to attend school, get a job, and get housing.   • Americans with Disabilites Act

    This act was important for people with disabilities to lead a life outside of just the school. It allows them to also get jobs, have access to transportation, and have access to other public services.   • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

    This is important to include more people who may have disabilities to recieve the help that they need to be successful. With the school and services they recieve they will be prepared to enter the workforce after they have finished school. This act provides special services as well as special education to help these students to be successful. It is important for them to recieve an education, and this will help them to achieve that.   • Individuals with Disabilities Education Act

    This act is important to make sure that even if students are no longer in school that they can still recieve services. It also is important so that the school will make sure that the curriculum that is provided for all students to be provided with students with disabilites as well.   • No Child Left Behind Act

    Holds the school as well as the district and state responsible for improving performance for the students. They want to make sure that all students are successful, and this act puts the responsibility on the school and others to see that they are trying to provide the best education as possible. This act gives more room for things to be changed in how the states are using the funds as long as they are meeting what the standards are. Vaughn, S. R., Bos, C. S., & Schumm, J. S. (2013).
  • Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act

    This act is to make sure that all of the students are receiving the help that they may need. It gives more funds to give intervention programs to the students who may not need special education.
