This was because this case ended in the ruling that segregation in schools due to race as unconstitutional.     Issue: Least Restrictive Environment This case lead to "LRE". It ruled that children shall be place in general education environments with aids and services if possible and probable for that child.     Cedar Rapids Community School District v. Garret F.

    Issue: Related Services This case ruled that students with medical needs must meet those needs. If the need has to be performed by a physician than the school can provide similar services to the need that do not have to provide the exact service.     Every Student Succeeds Act

    This act signed by President Obama, previously known as "The no Child Left Behind Act." was revised. The reviser allows for states to adopt Common Core but does not require it.
