Christopher Columbus set sail to find a new route to Asia. One thing the Columbus did not know was that there were othe countries/contenets. The way colunbus finding america was that he thought he found asia and he also used or wanted to use the indians/ native americans as slaves. -

Hernan Cortez
he conquered the aztecs found a ton of gold. reason why every conquestador after him set sail to go to the americas. the way him coming here made a huge differance is becaus eof him the aztecs are no more and he does not want to leave ther because he wants to keep all the gold. -

Pinedas voyage
Pineda was the first to map the coast. From Florida to Texas. Pineda did not explore much of it. The reason he is important is because now the spainards have a map of the new world. -

De Vaca Voyage Part 1
originally de vaca was on a voyage to explore florida and then get picked up by a ship then have the ship drop them off again and so on. But when the ship goes the wrong way they get left on florida with barely anything to eat an eventually start eating thier horses. Then De Vaca and the rest of his crew well actually esteban's crew start making 5 boats and they go into the water. -

De Vaca Voyage Part 2
When his boat set out to sea there was a hurricane and they crashed on galveston. In november that is really cold and they had NO CLOTHES. When they got thier they were greeted by native american tribe - karankawa. they were really kind to De Vaca and his crew. They brought them food and they sent out other indians to look at them. Eventually he becomes a medicene man and was the first one to sew a mans flesh back together. he travels for 8 years and finnaly find spanish conquestadores.
