    Explorer 1 was a big deal to America because it was the first aircraft to go into the orbit of space.

    By NASA picking the astronauts the space race was one big step closer to go up to space because now they have to train them go to space.

    This is great test for NASA because if one man can servive in space for 34 hours then 2 or more men can servive all together with them working together.

    With having images of the moon NASA can change/fix the landing broseaches because depending on the sufface the landing will be different every time

  • The crew of Apollo 7 begin a 10 day mission to study the new spacecraft

    This was one of the final step to make it to space, learning how to work the aircraft carfully. If the astounts didn't learn carfully they could die in space on take off.

  • Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin become the first men to walk on the moon while crewmate Michael Collins orbits around the Moon alone.

    This was it the final day we finaly got men on the Moon successfuly. With the information of the Moon we can now try to move on to different plants like Mars.
