Sputnik 1
Sputnik was the first ever earth satellite, sputnik in russain is satellite and that is who made this satellite. It is 58cm in diameter and had four radio antennas. This was revolutionary for space kind and this is what sparked my interest for this inquiry. This really was the start of everything -
Apollo 11
The reason I chose this is because, to be the first ever manned machine to land humans on the moon was a big thing. For years they had tried and the Russians were in the lead for the space race. This mission, this achievment, this idea all worked for the U.S because of J.F Kennedy and this just shows how much he put in to this, this is why I choose this. -
Voyager 2
We have all ways known that space was big, and I can imagine that most of us would want to know more than just our solar system. This is what the voyagers are doing, to set off a piece of space craft that has been adrift for over 30 years into space and to still have connection with it is in incredible. Just the slightest push can send you far and the voyagers have shown this. Our knowledge of what's on the other side of our solar system lies in their hands. -
Space Shuttle
NASA's space shuttle fleet began by setting world records on it's first flight. This piece of space craft carries people into orbit for research and such. From going from a space rocket that takes so much power and effort to get up into space and then to go to just a ship that takes us into orbit just like that is amazing.To have thousands of these flying in and out of what a few years ago people thought was impossible, has changed my perspective on what improvment is . -
Virgin Galactic
This is a company that is striving for a plan to give tourists the time of their life as they fly off into sub orbit. Before, people thought that plane flights were impossible but now we are here, we are using what we already have and are expanding so far that it seems doubtful. This company is planning to give people a chance to make history and this is great; to give people the choice, from any country this is all history that you can be a part of. This is the future, and it is already here. -
Conclusion
Over the years having a doubtful mind to what can happen and then that being broken by the extremes, is amazing. There are so many different countries which ontribute to this space odyessey. The smallest things are what have made every one of these a success. The change between what we had and what we have is amazing. Over the years, to create something impossible and make it better, is mindblowing. Over the years we have made the impossible, possible.
