This orbiter made it to Mars than 3 years later, it batteries failed. It tranfers over 10,000 images in 706 orbits around Mars. -
Hubble Space Telescope
A space telescope that was carried in to orbit by a space shuttle. It is the only telescope designed to be used in space. This telescope is still in orbit. (mission has lasted 22 years) -

Pathfinder
The Mars Pathfinder was launched on December 4, 1996 and it landed successfully on Mars on July 4, 1997. The spacecraftwill enter the Martian atmosphere without going into orbit around the planet and land on Mars with the aid of parachutes, rockets, and airbags, taking atmospheric measurements on the way down. -

Cassini was launched aboard a Titanic in October 15,1997 -
Lunar Prospector
The Lunar Prospector, the first NASA mission to the moon in almost 30 years, was launched January 16,1998. Within a month it will begin returning answers to long-lasting questions about the Moon, its resources, its structure and its origins.
