In 1969, three American astronauts circled the moon aboard Apollo 11. Once in orbit, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin entered a tiny space craft called Eagle. On July 20th the Eagle decended to the moon's flat part called the Sea of Tranquility. A few hours later Armstong and Aldrin were walking on the moon.
