He did things like he was elected as a municipal alderman in Kingston, Ontario in 1843.,He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada from 1844 to 1867, appointed Receiver General in 1847, Opposition member of parliament from 1847 to 1854 and many other things.This is an example of change because he had many different jobs and didnt stay at one job his whole life.

He brought them together by building the Trans Canada railroad.This is an example of continunity because the colony of BC joined canada and is still apart today.The Colony of BC promised to build the railway if they would get paid to do it. Both sides where very happy with this decision, the conoly of BC were happy becasue they would be paid, and Canada was happy becasue they didnt have to to worry about BC joining the US.

The Pacific Scandal was a big political scandal betwen the two people and in the end it led to Sir John a MacDonald resigning aand he stayed out of office until 1878 and he stayed in power until he passed away in 1891. This is an example of change because there was a big change in power when Sir John a MacDonald decided to resign. Then it changed up again when he came back power.
