I think that this is significant because it was one of the first outward signs of rebellion to the British. The fact that they were able to stand up for what they believed in showed their passion for what they wanted, which was a free country. -

The Federalist Papers are important because they represented the free press, one of the rights given to U.S citizens. Though people may be opressed in many ways, they always have the use of words to express themselves. -

I believe this is an important event because it shows the reaction to all of which happened before- the Emancipation Proclamation, Civil War, Etc. Many were outraged while others were cheerful, showing the true split in the country. -
