Dalziel was the lead inventor, IBM claims a man called Alan Shugart lead a team of engineers to make the floppy disk, and Yoshiro Nakamatsu is also taking credit for the invention of this device. But what I do know is that the floppy disk stored data in the early 1970's and has proven useful for over 20 years.
