Columbine
Columbine happened in Columbine Colorado in the year of 1999. Two senior students embarked in a shooting spree killing twelve students and one teacher was murdered and several others were injured. I believe this lead us to having a better and safer environment. Laws became more strict and protected. Awareness went from fifty percent to one hundred percent. Being in schools things such as “ I am going to kill you or such”, became more serious than they used to be. -

For years peope were saying the world was going to end. As the new millennium came about people were worried that the world was going to come to an end; although twelve years later it is still here. 9/11/01
I choose September 11, 2001 because it took a big impact on the United States. Families were torn apart by loosing loved ones. Security became stronger and more efficient. The United States started to buckle down on laws and regulations. This happened in New York City. Nineteen terrorists hijacked a plane and hit the Twin towers, Pentagon and Shanksville Pennsylvania. -
War in Iraq
After the terroristic attack on September 11; former President George W. Bush sent two million troops all together. I believe he made the right decision by putting troops into Iraq. This affected me because my brother and his friend Mark were in the Army, and his best friend Mark, who is like my brother was in the Marines. Mark was deployed short after the war began. Barak Obama became president of the United States in 2008, right after George W. Bush’s terms. Obama got himself into a huge disorder when he entered the office of the White House. Rutgers Suicide
Tyler Clementi was an eighteen-year-old student at Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey. Tyler jumped to his death from the George Washington Bridge on September 22, 2010. On September 19, his roommate, Dharun Ravi, and a hallmate , Molly Wei, used a webcam on Ravi's computer and a computer in Wei's dorm room to view, without Clementi's knowledge, Clementi kissing another man. I believe that this wasn’t all of his fault although it was the turning point to what had happened. -
World Ended NOT
world ended…NOT, 2011- A man decided he was going to say the world was going to end, although he didn’t scare anyone. The man in my oponion wasn’t to smart. For example he didn’t realize that the worlds supposed to end on December 21, 2012 so its not possible for the world to end twice within two years. Being Christian I believe in were not supposed to know when the worlds supposed to end as well as how; the most we know is the worlds supposed to go by fire not water this time. -
